One of the BEST things about being a PRO member is meeting new people that share a love for the remodeling industry. Our monthly meetings are a great opportunity to connect with other remodelers and vendors – and we’re lucky to have new members joining each month. This month, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to one of PRO New England’s newest members: Meg McSherry, owner of Meg McSherry Interiors, a full-service interior design firm located in Newton but with projects all over New England.

To prepare for our interview, I spent some time on Meg’s website. I’m impressed with the projects that she and her team have worked on. The best adjective I can use to describe her designs is … soothing – as if you could curl up with a book by the fireplace in this living room for example. I’m certain that when her clients walked into their new spaces they felt right at home.
I asked Meg a few questions about her business and why she joined PRO. Meg has an excellent sense of humor – I can’t wait to meet her in person at the September meeting!
Tell us about your business and the design services that you and the rest of the MMI team provide!
After working for other design firms, I established Meg McSherry Interiors, or MMI, in 2016. Over time, it has grown into a full-service firm with a team of six! I’m so proud of how far we’ve come! Our projects include new builds, renovations and decorating. We believe that people can have beautiful, well-designed homes and not be afraid to live in them – put your feet on the coffee table! Eat popcorn on the sofa!
Our office is in Newton, but we do work all over the place. In addition to Newton, we have projects in Weston, Wellesley, Winchester, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and the Cape.
What makes your MMI different from other interior design firms?
We value process and relationships. We have taken the time to build our processes, establish the right roles on our team and invest in our relationships with the right tradespeople. Our goal is to create a beautiful home, but we want the client experience to be pleasant – even fun! – from start to finish.
You were sponsored by Kevin Craddock. What did you learn about PRO from him?
Kevin and I have really bonded over our shared appreciation of networking and cultivating relationships within our industry. He told me how honest and interesting the conversations in the PRO community are and I knew it sounded like a good fit for me.
I am excited to meet other PRO members, please say hi at our next meeting!
What drew you to join PRO? What do you hope to learn?
I value working with excellent builders and tradespeople. I am constantly learning from them, trusting them to guide clients to make good decisions, working with my team to problem solve. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to create and expand my relationships with builders!
Anything else you’d like PRO members to know about MMI?
In addition to working hard, advocating for our clients and creating thoughtful designs – we truly love what we do and are a group of kind and fun people. The projects that excite us the most are ones where the clients and builders view us as a team: they see the value in having us there, trust us and are eager to work together to get the best results.
