The PRO New England Community Commerce Project is a unique initiative that underscores the collective economic value and impact of the PRO New England community.

Every other year year, contractor and specialty subcontractor members are invited to share information on payments they have made to other businesses so that PRO New England can assess the vitality and volume of business exchanged among member companies.

In 2022, 18 member companies provided data for the project. The data showed:

  • Total reported spending was $61 million.
  • The maximum spent with one vendor was ~$1.2 million.
  • The average amount spent with each of the 1700 vendors identified was $35,000.
  • The 18 member companies spent $100,000 or more with 141 companies.
  • 36 vendors were named by six or more (33%) of the 18 participating members.

Invitation: In 2025, all PRO New England remodelers and sub-contractors – approximately 100 companies – will be invited to participate in the PRO New England data project.

Confidentiality: Importantly, spending reports will be sent to a third-party research institution or accounting firm which will anonymize the data for confidentiality purposes, and then compile a report.

Call to Action:To participate, members will provide a report from their accounting system that identifies payees and the total spend with each payee in the calendar year 2024.

At the end of the evaluation process, all companies that contribute their data to the project will be invited to an exclusive, closed-door presentation of the findings.
