Kohler and Supply New England hosted an EM NARI networking event at their Signature Store at Seven Tide in Boston on Wednesday, May 15th. Members were treated to a signature cocktail – the Honey Bee – and a beautiful showroom filled with faucets and fixtures for luxurious kitchen and bath renovations. There are even two fully functional bathrooms where you can experience their bathing and showering products!
EM NARI President Justin Zeller and Alison Stanley of Kohler welcomed the group to the space shared by Clarke, Marvin Windows and Kohler in the Seaport District. Kohler spokesman Ed Del Grande entertained the crowd with his presentation. Known as “Ed the Plumber” on DIY Network, Del Grande is a master plumber and “how to expert” who speaks all over the country. He introduced four Kohler products – a standby generator, the Flipside shower head, the Purefresh toilet seat, and the Moxi shower head, and explained how remodelers can upsell them. Del Grande grew up and resides in Rhode Island. In 1981 he tried his hand at stand-up comedy. Combined with his background as a plumber, Del Grande ended up hosting five home shows over the years on HGTV and DIY.
