Paranormal Tech

Below are pictures and descriptions of some of the equipment PRONE uses during investigations. We do not bring every piece of equipment to every investigation. We will determine what will be necessary depending on the specific location.

Digital Voice Recorders

Digital Voice Recorders

These devices digitally record audio and allow for capturing EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon). This is one of the most common pieces of equipment and at least one investigator will always be recording audio during an investigation.

K2 and Mel Meters

K2/Mel Meter

K2 and Mel Meters are generally used to measure EMF (electro-magnetic fields) in the environment. EMF is a natural occurrence that causes hallucinations, dizziness, and paranoia. Mel Meters (pictured left), also give temperature readings; which are useful when tracking "cold spot" or finding natural explanations for them.

DVR System

In many cases, PRONE will set up our DVR system. Up to 4 infrared cameras can be set up and monitored in real time. The cameras can run continuously throughout the night to cover hot spots during the entire investigation whether an investigator is around or not.

Digital Cameras, Camcorders, Full Spectrum and Infrared

PRONE uses various digital cameras to capture still photos. While we have standard ones that many people are familiar with, we also use a full spectrum camera that takes photos within multiple light spectrums that are not visible to the human eye. The camcorders used to capture video are capable of shooting in infrared; which allows them to see in complete darkness. We have been making our own infrared lights that help enhance the distance and clarity of the camcorders' night vision capabilities.
