Mansfield Reformatory, Mansfield, OH

This massive prison in Ohio was opened in 1886 and housed hundreds of thousands of inmates until it shut down in 1990. The building is over 250,000 square feet. It has been featured on many paranormal TV shows and was the location used for filming the movie “The Shawshank Redemption”.

Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia, PA

Eastern State was opened in 1829 and held some of the most famous criminals in the country while it was in operation. The unique radial design of the prison was revolutionary at the time and often replicated by other prisons are the country. One of the prison’s most famous inmates was Al Capone; who served an 8 month sentence at Eastern State.

Buffalo Naval Park, Buffalo, NY

PRONE has had the opportunity to investigate the park on a few occasions. We have investigated the USS The Sullivans, Little Rock, and the Croaker submarine. The Sullivans is the ship that was named after the 5 Sullivans brothers who lost their lives during World War II.

Rolling Hills Asylum, East Bethany, NY

Rolling Hills was originally known as the Genesee County Poor Farm. It was the home for orphaned children, elderly, and people with physical or mental handicaps. The history dates back to the 1800s and it remained open as a nursing home until 1974. One of the most popular claims of paranormal activity at Rolling Hills is shadow people. The building has been featured on numerous paranormal reality shows.
